We are seeing the term GMO everywhere from the super market, to commercials to ads on facebook. GMO, NONGMO, GMO Verified, Non GMO project, its a little overwhelming and can be a bit confusing.
So, what does G.M.O. mean? A GMO (genetically modified organism) is the result of a laboratory process where genes from the DNA of one species are extracted and artificially forced into the genes of an unrelated plant or animal. The foreign genes may come from bacteria, viruses, insects, animals or even humans.

The unfortunate part of GMO's and their odd, unnatural, science experiment on us, is that we as the public cannot easily determine which of our products contain GMOs and which do not. This presence a problem if you are not label careful, especially if you are one of the 117 million Americans with a chronic disease.
It can be difficult when trying to purchase the best options for you and your family. Everytime we make a purchase we are pledging with our dollars to support these companies or not.
